I Have Friends Who are Idiots

I'm not hatin'!

You know when people say in an argument "I have gay/black/asian/insert what have you here friends so that makes me right, but they're still wrong" That is not justifiable for an argument, man.

Neither can you hide your immense dislike for some people if you say you have those kinda friends. It's kinda unlikely that you have 'those kinda friends' if you dislike them so much! And if you do have them as friends and still don't like them, you still think of them the same way.

Here's quoting from *In-The-Machine's piece "How to argue":

You can even use your own friendship in your own arguments to prove validity!
For instance, "I think homosexuality is a filthy sin that will cast all souls involved down to hell, but I'm not a homophobe. I have gay friends."

Or, "Man, Austrians are really fucking stupid. I'm not sayin' I'm racist against them or nothin', 'specially since I supposedly got Austrian friends, rite? But, man, they are just dumb. ASS. And all they wanna do is steal TV's and they smell real fuckin' bad. Did I also mention they're fuckin' stupid?"



I've used "idiots". I am quoting *In-The-Machine as we had such a conversation about this.
